Dream Center, Kigali | 2010
Africa New Life Founder and President Dr. Charles Mugisha with students in what is now the Dream Kids Tutoring Program. Each year, 50 vulnerable Kigali students from ages 5 to 8 are identified by Rwandan staff and given extra academic support, consistent meals, spiritual nurturing, and a strong foundation to pursue their dreams.

New Life Bible Church, Kageyo A | 2015
Africa New Life first began short-term relief ministry to Kageyo in 2007, and then began a sponsorship program there in 2009 at Rwisirabo Primary Public School. Over the following few years, we were given a second school in the region to manage and founded two New Life Bible Churches. In every community where Africa New Life dwells, a New Life Bible Church is established and staffed with a biblically trained pastor to disciple sponsored students, their families, and the wider community.

Kibenga Primary School, Bugesera | 2016
In 2011, Africa New Life was invited by the Rwandan government to manage an unopened school originally built by UNICEF in the community of Bugesera. The school opened with 300 sponsored students, and today, there are more than 1,700 students sponsored in Bugesera, many of them receiving an exceptional education from nationally respected teachers and educators at our school.

Dream Center, Kigali | 2021
Students in the Dream Kids Tutoring Program are gathered for their graduation. Each year, Africa New Life staff select 50 particularly vulnerable students from Kigali and support them with tutoring and other forms of care while they attend school. Dream Kids continue to benefit from sponsorship even after completing the 1-year Dream Kids Tutoring Program.

Kigali International Airport | 2019
Wilberforce was sponsored in 2004 through Africa New Life while he was a child living with his grandmother. Today, he holds a master’s degree and enjoys a developing career with RwandAir. Wilberforce and other successful sponsorship program graduates were featured in Africa New Life’s “Where Are They Now?” campaign in summer 2019 to show how sponsorship helps students break out of the cycle of poverty and become successful adults.

Kageyo A | 2015
In 2014, Africa New Life partnered with Organics 4 Orphans to expand a small garden in the arid community of Kageyo and to set up small “keyhole” gardens that would provide nutritious greens and vegetables to families even in drought seasons. Through skillful direction and teaching from our agronomist, Theo, well over 600 Rwandan families have their own keyhole garden today.

Dream Medical Center Hospital, Kigali | 2018
In 2009, Dr. Charles Mugisha, current U.S. Board Chair Dr. Pamela Pyle, and Dr. Brad Titus formalized their dream of a medical clinic that would serve Rwandans in need in the Kigali area. After years of planning and fundraising, including a Mount Kilimanjaro fundraising climb in 2017 by Dr. Pyle and 11 others, a full-scale medical hospital opened to the public in late 2018. The Dream Medical Center Hospital is the second largest private hospital in Rwanda and serves the Kigali area and beyond.

New Life Family Center, Kigali | 2018
The Dream Beauty Academy opened in 2012 in partnership with the Academy of Hair Design in Springfield, Missouri, to empower women unable to access traditional education with the skills necessary to build a career in the beauty industry. Together with the Vocational Sewing Program, these programs at Africa New Life have equipped around 90 women each year to provide for themselves and their families.

New Life Christian Academy, Kayonza | 2014
Africa New Life was founded in 2001 when Dr. Charles and Florence Mugisha helped 29 vulnerable students find sponsors in the U.S. Today, there are more than 10,500 students in kindergarten through post-secondary (university) school sponsored and receiving a quality education! These young people are being equipped to break the cycle of poverty for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Dream Center, Kigali | 2010
What is now the Dream Kids Tutoring Program was founded in 2010. In the continuing aftermath of the genocide, Africa New Life staff in Rwanda began offering specialized tutoring and care to the most vulnerable children in Kigali, giving them another chance to succeed and continue their education with confidence.
