NEW LIFE WOMEN AND FAMILY CENTER

The New Life Family Center (NLFC), located in Kigali Rwanda provides vocational training for oppressed, uneducated, wounded and battered women, enabling them to lift themselves and their families out of poverty with their own hands. Each year seventy women complete a ten month course in tailoring followed by a two month internship with a local company. This experience provides them with the skills they need to either start a small sewing business or find a job in the local clothing industry. In addition to gaining practical skills in sewing each woman is encouraged through group counseling sessions to let Jesus heal their emotional wounds.
