When a child loses their parents in Rwanda, extended family or family friends usually take the child into their home. But there are still situations when a child has nowhere to turn.

Africa New Life provides homes for some of these homeless children in six children’s homes in Kayonza: Grace, Mercy, New Life, Orchards, Timothy and Umucyo. Sponsorship for children living in these homes covers school tuition, scholastic materials, uniform, shoes, food, lodging and clothes.

In addition, street children who’ve consistently attended the street children ministry program at the Dream Center in Kigali and who do not have a family may be eligible to live in Africa New Life’s transitionary dormitory for street boys: Umucyo Home.
