Praying for Rwanda: Peace (DAY 8)
Posted on 09. Aug, 2010 by Africa New Life in BLOG, PRAYER
For 16 years, Rwanda has been filled with peace. In fact, the nation remains an example to other African countries of peace, prosperity and economic growth. Despite tragedy, poverty and struggle, God has protected Rwanda.
Today as Rwandans across the country make their way to the polls, we pray for that peace to be sustained. We pray that God would continue to reconcile the people of Rwanda. We pray that He would provide for their daily needs and erase worry, erase anxiety from their minds. We pray for peace between government leaders, even in disagreement. And we pray for peace in the church, that the unity of God would fall on His followers.
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
